A Home at the Corpus Christi Epiphany Community Resource Center
In a collaboration supported, in part, by the Catholic Charities for Human Development and overseen by Fr. Roderick J. Coates, S. S. J., the Guild will be incubated by the Corpus Christi-Epiphany Church and will be an anchor of the 7th Ward Community Center, the site of the former Corpus Christi School which had educated more than four generations of youth in the community before it was heavily damaged during Hurricane Katrina.
There the New Orleans Master Crafts Guild program will support the economic development of the 7th Ward and its environs as it reinvigorates New Orleans’ unique community of Master Craftsmen through:
– Apprenticeship Training
– Capacity Building
– Cultural Engagement
